About me
Preston Cory ’15 works as the Director of Government Affairs for TotalEnergies where she furthers TotalEnergies’ relationships across the Executive and Legislative branches of the U.S. government, diplomatic missions, industry associations, and others to build positive awareness among key decision makers on the company’s policy positions and operations, including its energy transition strategy. She focuses on renewable energy, tariffs, sanctions, and tax policy.
Preston has a decade of experience in energy and climate policy, having worked as a legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate and in Clean Air Act policy at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to joining TotalEnergies, she spent three years at Meridian Research Group in Washington, D.C. and London, U.K., providing strategic advisory services and due diligence to global asset managers, corporations, and EU climate tech start-ups.
She holds an M.Sc. in Russian and Eurasian Political Economy and Energy from King’s College London and a B.A. in Global Politics from W&L. In her spare time, she serves as an Advisory Board Member for the National Park Trust, a land conservancy and environmental education nonprofit dedicated to preserving national parks today and creating park stewards for tomorrow.
